  • Land Rover reminiscence is poised to make its appearance on the Indian auto market in early 2012. While the car awaits its world debut in mid 2011, the ILO is about to make its launch in India in the first quarter of 2012.

The ILO is a compact utility vehicle and is the first hybrid vehicle in the range of Land Rover. The car will come with the smallest engine that Land Rover has never made - a 2.0 litre turbo engine produces 240bhp of power.

However, it is unclear still whether Tata Motors will bring together the ILO at its assembly line newly inaugurated near Pune. Experts estimate that if Tata Motors is serious with this car and wants to capture the Indian market, it will get better response if assembled in India. If sold in the CBU form, the new range Rover tier will compete with LC Prado, BMW X 5, Audi Q7 and Mercedes Benz ML-class.

At the present time, CKD to take a lower segment of the line of fire of Audi Q5?s. Tags: Audi Q7, BMW - X 5, CBU, compact utility vehicle, Land Rover reminiscence, Land Rover range, LC Prado, Mercedes-Benz-ML-Class, Range Rover reminiscence, Tata Motors
